Sulphur Creek's Wildlife Adult Community Education program (WACE) is designed to share native wildlife and domestic animals with the elderly and adult individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. WACE was born from a partnership between Sulphur Creek Nature Center and the CARH organization. For many years CARH and Sulphur Creek partnered to provide animal programs to rest homes, senior centers, recreation centers, Alzheimer's units, and centers for the intellectually disabled.
Each visit is specifically designed to meet the needs of the individual group and provides a 30-45 minute presentation that allows participants to learn about, touch, and interact with animals in a social and educational environment.
