The Hayward Area Recreation and Park District has begun the process of planning for the renovation of San Felipe Community Park! On October 29, 2014 and January 15, 2015 community meetings were held where community input was received on the future design of the park. The H.A.R.D. Board of Directors, District Staff, RRM Design Group and members of the community were in attendance to brainstorm on the future design, renovation and expansion of the park. The community had an opportunity to give input on what they liked at the park and what they want as future amenities. Below are the conceptual plans and charts from each of the meetings. What's Next
The architect's have completed the draft master plan, which will incorporate priorities set by the community. The Board of Director's will vote to adopt the new master plan at their Board Meeting on August 24, 2015. Once the master plan has been adopted and funding is identified, we can begin to develop the park. Development can take some time; however, we are committed to making your improved community park a reality as soon as is possible!
