Campfire Nights and Overnight Campouts
Don't miss this fun summer tradition with your family! Visit with special critters of the night and enjoy an evening of marshmallow roasting. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Evening Campfires run from 6:30-8:30pm. Overnight Campouts run from 7pm on a Saturday through 9am the next morning.

Great American Backyard Campout
Celebrate one of this Nation's favorite outdoor past times by camping out with your family. Learn about nocturnal animals, create a craft to take home, play games, roast marshmallows, and enjoy the sounds of night as you sleep under the stars. Bring a tent, sleeping bag, flashlight, and walking shoes. Continental breakfast provided. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult, children under 2 free.

Jewels of the Night
Enjoy a fun family evening of roasting marshmallows and finding out what flying insects enjoy the light of a campfire. We will set traps around the park to attract these jewels of the night and learn about Lepidopteron cravings. Continental breakfast provided. Bring a tent, sleeping bag, flashlight, and walking shoes. Continental breakfast provided. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult, children under 2 free.

Suck-a-Bug CampfireMake a bug sucker to catch small insects such as gnats, with a homemade “pooter.” Find out how small a bug you can really catch. Cost: $12/child

Cricket PredictionsBecome a Myth Buster and determine if crickets can really predict the temperature outside. you will use scientific methods to predict, experiment, and analyze the final temperature of summer. Come to this fun family evening of myths – facts or fiction, and create a harmonica to play around the campfire while roasting marshmallows. Cost: $12/child
