Phillip Garbutt Mr. Phillip Garbutt has been a PhotoCentral volunteer for over 3 years. He is a long-time patron, student and artist of the program, and has become our right-hand man. Phillips visits our gallery 3 days a week for all PhotoCentral exhibits. He is extremely knowledgeable about art forms and takes special care to learn about each exhibit, the artists, the works displayed and the processes used to produce the art work. This adds an extremely valuable experience to our patrons as they visit the gallery. Phillips attends all PhotoCentral gallery opening receptions, special events and closings, assisting with anything that needs to be done.
Phillip is also a key volunteer in the prepping of art work for display. PhotoCentral relies heavily on Phillip's knowledge and skill to assist with the production of shows by working in both the traditional dark room and digital lab canning, spotting and printing images. He is always available to help with producing works for fundraisers and special events to help support the program. Phillip is quiet and unassuming, but always there to make sure PhotoCentral programs are successful.
