Adobe Art Gallery
March 24-May 5, 2012
(510) 881-6735
Artists Reception: Saturday, March 24, 1:00-3:00pm. Assemblage, collage, oil on canvas and more. Both artists reside in the Bay area. Tanna Bellia is inspired by the art of the Bay Area figurative movement. The figurative movement emphasizes the figure, with a bold, improvisational color palette.  Bellia says her work represents her desire to connect with the deepest levels of herself and "from that place that makes the unseen visible on canvas". Bill Bishop’s primary love has always been the single image.  Bill’s work is informed by collage and assemblage—an aesthetic that creates something new out of existing, disparate objects—and by filmmaking, which is, essentially, obtaining and assembling the parts necessary to make an aesthetically coherent whole. www.adobegallery.org.

Welcome our wild neighbors into the New Year by making a variety of tasty treats. Children and adults alike will enjoy creating their own edible “works of art” to string on trees for the birds and squirrels to feast on. Refreshments for the “creative artists” will be provided. No reservations are required for this drop-in program.
