Tables cost $25 each for residents and $35 for non-residents. The limit is 2 tables per person.  The Flea Market is open to the public.

This event is held annually the Saturday before Easter at Kennedy Park. The Easter Bonnet Parade is led by the Easter Bunny for children ages 6 years old and under who wear homemade bonnets. Prizes are given to those bonnets judged as the prettiest, most unusual, and most colorful. The Egg Hunt is for children between the ages of 1 and 9 years old.

Coinciding with the end of the summer beach season, Coastal Cleanup Day is a great way for families, students and service groups to work together and care for our fragile marine environment. It is also a fun way to show community support for our shared natural resources and learn about the impacts of marine debris and how we can prevent it. Dress in layers and wear sunscreen. We will supply gloves and bags for trash pickup and non-native plant removal.

Join us in a haunting adventure when you come to Sulphur Creek Nature Center to find out the real truth about Halloween’s dark and creepy creatures. Enjoy the rest of the evening with Halloween crafts, storytelling, playing great games, tasty treats and roasting marshmallows over a campfire. For those who love adventure in the dark, be sure to follow our naturalist on specially scheduled night hikes along the back trail. Tickets for the Unhaunted House are for specific time slots, so be sure to sign up early. Price only includes entrance into the Unhaunted House. Children under twelve must be accompanied by an adult. This event is a Thanksgiving morning lap swim special event with door prizes and lots of fun! Everyone works the body before the big Turkey dinner!  This event has been a fundraising event for the Karen M. Gordon Scholarship Fund.  Karen Gordon was an employee who died tragically in a car accident on her way to work at the Hayward Plunge Indoor Swim Center.  Each year, two or more college scholarships are given out to qualified college student lifeguards in Northern California. This fundraiser raises money to offer free swim lessons to low income families. Come and support this worthwhile cause!!

The District’s pottery program will be selling hand-made items such as mugs, cups, bowls, serving and appetizer plates, vases, wall plaques and more. All items are handmade one-of-a kind pieces at extremely affordable prices. Vendor registration is $25 per table (limit 2 tables), additional $10 for non-residents. Proceeds benefit the District’s Art & Special Needs Programs.
