Reptiles: resilient, remarkable, and resplendent from the tip of their noses to the end of their tails. The Bay Area Amphibian and Reptile Society (BAARS) will be sharing their amazing array of reptiles. Come face to face with creatures that have endured the test of time, are scaly, and love to bask in the sun. Bring the family and slither into an exciting day of learning about snakes, lizards, turtles, and tortoises. This Special Event is FREE – Make it a family day, bring a picnic, and enjoy getting back into nature.
Relax under the oaks, and enjoy excellent wine, beer, coffee, and a delicious meal with dessert along with live. As a highlight to the evening, you will witness the release of some young owls raised through Sulphur Creek’s Wildlife Rehabilitation program. Take part in the behind-the-scenes tours, live animal appearances, and much more. This is a fundraising event benefiting the wildlife education and rehabilitation programs of Sulphur Creek Nature Center. Join us at Sulphur Creek to celebrate International Turkey Day, celebrating the amazing carrion-eating, sun-basking red-heads. Meet our resident turkey vultures up close, and find out why vultures are such a vital part of the world’s ecosystems. Activities include a vulture craft you can take home. This program is free for all ages!

Come to Sulphur Creek Nature Center and experience Halloween with an unusual twist. Meet superheroes and super animals and find out how these animals help to save the day! Let Spiderman, Cat Woman, Batman, and their friends show you how their wild animal partners help them conquer evil! Make your way through the Unhaunted House and meet an owl, tarantula, opossum, and other super hero critters at this very special Halloween event. Enjoy the rest of the evening with Halloween crafts, storytelling, and campfire with marshmallow roasting (no charge) along with great Halloween games, special night hikes, and tasty treats (small fee). So bring the family for an evening or afternoon of Halloween fun. Tickets for the Unhaunted House are for specific time slots, so be sure to sign up early. Price only includes entrance into the Unhaunted House. Children under twelve must be accompanied by an adult. Note: Ticket times indicate the time period we will try to begin your journey into the Unhaunted House. Delays may occur due to consideration for the animals.

A free program for all ages!
Welcome our wild neighbors into the New Year by making a variety of tasty treats. Children and adults alike will enjoy creating their own edible “works of art” to string on trees for the birds and squirrels to feast on. Refreshments for the “creative artists” will be provided. No reservations are required for this drop-in program. Free face-painting.
