To better prepare young volunteers to work with youth ages five years to twelve years old, the District has made some revisions to the Junior Counselor program. This more formalized training program will begin with an interview process. Candidates selected will then receive the information required to enroll in the training course. The curriculum will focus on developing Junior Counselors (JC) in many areas that will better prepare them for volunteering at camp and for potential future roles at District camps.
Interviews and selection of candidates is completed for Summer 2022. Candidates who have interviewed and registered for the Junior Counselor Leadership Program are eligible to select their schedule and for the training in June.
