Valley View Park Master Plan
Share Your Vision for Valley View Park
Valley View will be a brand-new park in your community! This 24-acre undeveloped open-space features noteworthy topography and sweeping views. HARD is seeking direction from the community to guide future park development.
The Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (HARD) has completed an Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration for the proposed Valley View Project in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act. The Initial Study prepared by HARD was undertaken for the purpose of deciding whether the proposed project may have a significant effect on the environment.
The study concluded that the project will not have a significant impact. Following a public comment period from April 24 to May 23, 2023, the IS/MND and Master Plan were adopted by the Board of Directors on 9/5/23. The project will proceed to the Planning Phase in late 2023.
