The Human Resources Division supports all the employees of the District. The Division is responsible for labor relations and contract negotiations, employee benefits administration, management of workers' compensation, general liability claims and policies, classification and compensation, talent management, strategic recruitment, promotion, selection, performance planning and evaluation, organizational development, resolution of grievances, and other employee assistance services.
The Hayward Area Recreation and Park District typically hires a number of full-time and part-time workers on an as-needed basis throughout the year. Hours vary and can include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Positions are available in many program areas. Certain positions will require the employee to be fingerprinted; if you are under 18, you will need to get a work permit from your school before working.
