Jerry Eady Mr. Jerry Eady was selected for the Monthly Volunteer Recognition Award for February 2013 for his volunteer work at the Adobe Art Center since April 2010, as well as the vital role he played in the design, installation and lighting of fourteen exhibits at the Adobe Art Gallery in three years. Additionally, he has helped with more than 15 public events and receptions, numerous art intakes, art pick-ups and mailings.
Mr. Eady is beyond reliable; and always cheerfully assists artists, visitors and Staff. He brings an aesthetic from a lifetime of studying and creating art as well as a business systems background. His contributions make innovative projects a reality. He helped to re-imagine the gallery space at the Adobe Art Center, created new ways to hang and display art; and has been an integral part of the planning of Adobe’s current Talking Eye Juried Cell Phone Exhibit which takes online submissions and has attracted international entries – both a first for the Adobe Art Gallery.
Mr. Eady’s creative, value-oriented, installation solutions have been invaluable to the Adobe Art Gallery. Additionally, he takes care of what needs to be done – from picking up trash, sweeping, to last minute mailings. Jerry goes the extra mile to help novice exhibitors as well as established artists exhibit their art to its best. He is respectful and believes in each person’s artistic spirit, as well as the importance of art in the community. The Adobe Art Gallery is grateful for all Jerry Eady has contributed and is very deserving of the Board of Directors’ Monthly Volunteer Recognition Award. He will be eligible for the Volunteer of the Year Award for 2013.
