The Hayward Plunge is open year-round for lap swimming, water walking, and public recreational swim. Swim lessons are offered year-round and range from Parent/Toddler to Adult and are all taught by certified American Red Cross Instructors. Additional programs include: Water Fitness, Camps, Certification classes (Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instructor), and Swim Teams and/or Conditioning.

Fee: $5 drop-in rate 

Lap Pass: 

  • Adult: $63 for 15 swims
  • Senior: $47 for 15 swims


Water Aerobics (16 yrs+)

Classes run for the Fall session beginning Monday 9/18/23 through Friday 12/15/23

Classes are open to adults 16 years and older, on a first come, first served basis, space permitting. All classes are one hour, and equipment is provided. Temperature of the pool is 82 degrees.

Water Fitness Pass:

  • Adult: $78 for 10 classes
  • Senior: $58 for 10 classes 
Public Reactional Swim (All Ages)

Saturdays 1:30pm-3:30pm
Fee:$3 per person

All groups that wish to come during regular scheduled public swim times must be approved by the Aquatics Office in advance. Please ask any pool for the required paperwork. (Examples: Child Care Centers, Day Camps, School Groups, etc.) All children 7 years and under must be accompanied one-on-one by an adult in the water at all times.

Swim Lessons

All swim classes are 30 minutes long. Instructional classes are taught by Certified Water Safety Instructors and/or aides.
