Rose Godfrey


Rose Godfrey started volunteering at the Hayward Area Senior Center with the nutrition/lunch program on April 18, 2024. Rose has dedicated more than 280 hours of volunteer time for H.A.R.D. Senior Programs. She really enjoys volunteering with H.A.R.D. because it gives her the opportunity to help seniors that really need help financially and socially. Helping younger and older people has always been a very important part of her life. Rose retired from a career in Education. She thought at the Castro Valley Elementary School for 15 years- teaching students in the Special Education and Reading Through Intervention Programs. Rose is an active member of the “Key 3”, which is a unit leader with the Scouts of America. She has been an active member for 29 years.

Rose is dedicated, reliable, and has been flexible with contributing her volunteer service in time of need- Special events, and substitutions for fellow volunteers.
